TURBO COOLERS
Antonini Radiator, Inc. has been repairing turbo coolers since 1988. These units, also known as charged air coolers, air-to-air coolers, or inner coolers, are now found on almost every make of truck on the road. They are deemed non-repairable by most radiator repair facilities, who would rather just deal with new or recored units. We have guaranteed turbo cooler repair procedures capable of bringing these units up to "better-than-new" standards. Antonini Radiator, Inc. is different from manufacturers and other repair shops who use the "5lb. drop rule". If a turbo cooler loses less than 5lbs. of air pressure in a given time frame, it is considered acceptable by our competitors. Antonini Radiator, Inc. does not allow a turbo cooler to leave its facility still leaking. Our repaired units are 100% leak-proof.
Antonini Radiator, Inc. boasts a repair success rate of 97% for turbo coolers. Where as most other repair shops lack the welding and epoxy technologies to succeed with these units, Antonini Radiator, Inc. can expertly repair turbo coolers. Whatever the cause of low turbo pressure, be it tube failure or tube-to-header joint breakage, our repair jobs stand "the test of time".
Although the notion of epoxy repairs on radiators and heat exchangers was once considered a joke, today's epoxy mixtures are extremely dependable and are used in all aspects of vehicle repair. However, not all "radiator epoxies" are durable enough to properly repair turbo coolers. Many shops attempt to repair these with just such sub-standard epoxies. The result: a turbo cooler failure. But, with Antonini Radiator, Inc.'s technology, an extremely durable epoxy is placed over welded and repaired areas for reinforcement and leak prevention. Our epoxy has tensile strength of 2,000 lbs. per square inch and flexible strength of nearly 3,000 PSI.
Antonini Radiator, Inc. also supplies new or re-core turbo coolers when repair is not an option.
Antonini Radiator, Inc. can efficiently clean aluminum turbo coolers, both internally and externally. Proper internal cleaning is vital for effective turbo charger performance. A specialized machine, developed by Antonini Radiator, Inc., the ANT-RAD aluminum Vibra-Cleaner, achieves exceptional results in removing all internal blockage.
